WHY I TRAVELED TO VIETNAM AND CAMBODIA TO SOURCE HAIR FOR MY CLIENTS

When people ask me why I started my hair company, the answer is simple:

I wanted better.

Better quality.

Better longevity.

Better results for my clients.

As a hairstylist, I’ve spent years installing extensions on women from all walks of life. I’ve seen clients invest hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars into their hair, only to be disappointed by shedding, tangling, dryness, or hair that simply didn’t last.

And that never sat right with me.

So instead of relying solely on distributors and middlemen, I decided to take things a step further.

I got on a plane.

My journey took me across the world to Vietnam and Cambodia, where I spent time learning more about the sourcing process, meeting suppliers, feeling textures in person, and understanding exactly where the hair was coming from.

I wanted to see it with my own eyes.

Because if I’m going to put my name on a product, I need to believe in it completely.

One of the biggest things I learned during my travels is that not all hair is created equal. What looks beautiful online doesn’t always perform beautifully in real life. Hair quality is about much more than appearance—it’s about consistency, longevity, texture, strength, and how it performs after months of wear.

I tested everything.

I examined textures.

I looked at construction.

I asked questions.

I compared suppliers.

I studied the details most people never see.

Every decision was made with one person in mind: my client.

The woman who trusts me to help her feel beautiful.

The woman who invests her hard-earned money expecting quality.

The woman who wants hair that looks amazing on day one and still performs months later.

That commitment eventually became the foundation of SP Hair Co.

Today, our Raw Cambodian Hair and Premium Southeast Asian Hair collections were selected with intention. They were chosen because they align with the standards I’ve built my career on: quality, longevity, versatility, and luxury.

But this journey was about more than hair.

It was about growth.

As entrepreneurs, there comes a point where we have to stop waiting for opportunities and start creating them. Traveling across the world reminded me that sometimes the next level of your business requires you to step outside of your comfort zone and go directly to the source.

Literally.

The experience challenged me, educated me, and reinforced something I’ve always believed:

Excellence requires intention.

My clients deserve the best.

And I’ll continue traveling, learning, testing, and growing to ensure that every product carrying the SP Hair Co. name reflects that commitment.

Thank you for trusting me, supporting my vision, and allowing me to build something bigger than myself.

This is only the beginning.
